My father owned a 1976 Mazda B1600 that was this color. The Courier was the same truck with a different grill and badges.
This example looks to be in great shape.
These were tough little trucks. They were rust prone and not very fast., but they were reliable. My Dad used to go mullet fishing with one of the guys he worked with. They always pulled the mullet boat behind Dad’s Mazda pickup. This was a 16" wooden boat on a trailer with an outboard motor, fishing net and all the rest of their gear.
Ah, one of the early Couriers! I never did see many of these; it seems they became more popular in the second generation. While everything from the front wheels back is pure Mazda, the stylists did manage to give a nice "mini-F100" look to the nose. Nice find!

Indeed, that’s very nice to see. My stepdad ran a couple of old B1600′s in his work as a builder and rated them highly.
Hi, I’m an admin for a group called Ford Trucks 1973 – 79, and we’d love to have this added to the group!
